To use BloomKini, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old to create an account independently, OR
- Be between 13-17 years old with verifiable parental or guardian consent, OR
- Be under 13 and using a parent-supervised family account
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction
- Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable laws

In addition to these Terms, the following policies also apply to your use of BloomKini:

BloomKini provides a digital platform for accessing curated book summaries. Our services include:

- Personalized Recommendations: AI-powered suggestions based on your reading history and preferences
- Reading Progress Tracking: Tools to monitor your learning journey
- Multi-Device Access: Seamless experience across web and mobile platforms
- Offline Reading: Download summaries for offline access (premium feature)
- Audio Summaries: Listen to summaries on the go (where available)
2.2 Your Rights as a User
When you use BloomKini, you have the right to:

- Existing summaries may be updated or improved
- Some content may be removed due to licensing changes or quality standards
- We don't guarantee that any specific title will remain available indefinitely
No Guarantee of Specific Content: While we aim to maintain a comprehensive library, we cannot guarantee the availability of any particular book summary. Content availability may vary by region and subscription tier.
3. Creating and Managing Your Account
3.1 Registration Requirements
To access BloomKini's services, you need to create an account. During registration, you must:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Create a secure password or use a trusted OAuth provider (Google)
- Verify your email address
- Confirm that you meet the age requirements (see Section 1.2)
- Accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy
3.2 Account Security - Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account:
You Must:
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Use a strong, unique password (not used on other websites)
- Notify us immediately at security@bloomkini.com if you suspect unauthorized access
- Log out from shared or public devices
- Keep your email account secure (it's used for password recovery)
You Must Not:
- Share your account credentials with anyone
- Let others use your account
- Create multiple accounts for yourself (without authorization)
- Use another person's account without permission
3.3 Account Information Updates
You agree to:
- Keep your account information accurate and up to date
- Update your email address if it changes
- Correct any inaccurate information promptly
You can update your information anytime through your account settings.
3.4 Account Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time by:

Upon deletion:
- Your account will be deactivated immediately

3.5 Account Suspension or Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse or misuse our services
- Provide false information during registration
- Harm other users or our platform's integrity
- Fail to pay subscription fees
We'll notify you of suspension or termination via email when possible, but we reserve the right to act immediately in cases of severe violations.
Liability for Unauthorized Use: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If someone else uses your account without permission, you remain liable unless you've notified us of the unauthorized access.
4. Paid Subscriptions and Billing
4.1 Subscription Tiers
BloomKini offers different subscription plans to suit your needs:

4.2 How Subscriptions Work
When you purchase a paid subscription:
- Subscription Start: Your subscription begins immediately upon successful payment
- Access Period: You have access for the duration of your billing period (month or year)
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date
- Price Lock: Your subscription rate is locked for the current billing cycle but may change upon renewal (we'll notify you)
4.3 Automatic Renewal
All paid subscriptions automatically renew:
- Monthly subscriptions renew on the same day each month
- Annual subscriptions renew one year from the purchase date
- You'll be charged automatically using your saved payment method
- You'll receive an email reminder 7 days before renewal
- You can cancel auto-renewal anytime from your account settings
Cancellation Notice: To avoid being charged for the next billing period, you must cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you'll retain access until then.
4.4 Payment Methods
We accept payment through:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayPal
- Other payment methods available in your region
By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for:
- Initial subscription fees
- Recurring subscription renewals
- Any applicable taxes
- Individual content purchases (if applicable)
4.5 Failed Payments

- VAT, GST, sales tax, or other local taxes may apply based on your location
- You're responsible for all applicable taxes
- Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing address
- Tax rates may change; we'll collect updated amounts as required by law
5. Free Trials and Promotional Offers
5.1 Trial Periods
We may offer free trial periods for new subscribers:
- Duration: Typically 7, 14, or 30 days (as specified during signup)
- Full Access: During trials, you get complete access to all Premium features
- Payment Method Required: You must provide valid payment information to start a trial
- Auto-Convert: Trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled
- One Per Customer: You're eligible for one free trial per account/payment method
5.2 Cancelling During Trial
You can cancel your trial at any time:
- Cancel anytime during the trial period to avoid charges
- You'll retain access until the trial end date
- No charges apply if cancelled before trial expiration
- If not cancelled, you'll be charged at the end of the trial
5.3 Promotional Discounts
We occasionally offer promotional pricing:
- Discounts may apply to first month, first year, or specific periods
- Promotional rates are clearly displayed during checkout
- After the promotional period, standard pricing applies
- Promotions cannot be combined unless explicitly stated
- We reserve the right to modify or cancel promotions at any time
5.4 Referral Programs
If we offer a referral program:
- You may receive credits or discounts for successful referrals
- Referral terms are specified in the program details
- Abuse of referral programs may result in account termination
- Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value
Trial Eligibility: Free trials are available only to new subscribers who haven't previously used BloomKini Premium. We may verify eligibility through payment method, email, or device information. Attempting to create multiple accounts for additional trials violates these Terms.
6. Purchasing Individual Summaries
6.1 Pay-Per-Summary Option
In addition to subscriptions, you may purchase individual book summaries:
- One-time payment for permanent access to a specific summary
- No subscription required
- Access continues even after creating or cancelling a subscription
- Available for select titles (not all summaries offer individual purchase)
6.2 Ownership and License
When you purchase an individual summary:
- You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license
- You can access the summary indefinitely (subject to these Terms)
- You cannot share, resell, or distribute the content
- We retain all ownership rights to the content
6.3 Purchases Are Final
Individual content purchases are generally non-refundable:
- All sales are final once content is accessed
- Exceptions may apply for technical issues preventing access (contact support)
- See Section 8 for information about withdrawal rights (where applicable)
7. Cancellation, Refunds, and Withdrawal Rights
7.1 How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time:

- You can reactivate your subscription anytime
7.3 Refund Policy

We Offer Refunds:
- If you cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase (EU withdrawal right)
- For technical issues that prevent you from accessing the service (verified by support)
- If we terminate your account due to our error
- For duplicate charges or billing errors
We Don’t Offer Refunds:
- For partial months of service (you have access until period end)
- If you simply change your mind after the 14-day withdrawal period
- For accounts suspended due to Terms violations
- For annual subscriptions after 14 days have passed
7.4 EU Consumer Right of Withdrawal
If you're in the European Union, you have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days:
- 14-Day Window: You can cancel within 14 days of subscription purchase for a full refund
- Immediate Access Waiver: By checking "I want immediate access," you waive this right for monthly subscriptions
- Annual Subscriptions: Right of withdrawal applies even with immediate access, but refund may be prorated

7.5 Processing Refunds
When a refund is approved:
- Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
- Funds return to your original payment method
- Your financial institution may take additional time to post the credit
- You'll receive email confirmation when the refund is processed
7.6 Promotional Credits and Gift Cards
Regarding non-cash payments:
- Promotional credits and gift card balances are non-refundable
- If you paid with a gift card or credits, refunds return as account credit
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
8. Gift Subscriptions and Promo Codes
8.1 BloomKini Gift Cards
You can purchase gift subscriptions for others:
- Available in 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month durations
- Recipient receives a unique redemption code via email
- Gift subscriptions activate when redeemed, not when purchased
- Must be redeemed within 12 months of purchase
- Can be combined with existing accounts or used to create new ones
8.2 Redeeming Gift Subscriptions

- If recipient already has a paid subscription, gift period adds to existing term
8.4 Promotional Codes
We may offer promotional discount codes:
- Promo codes have specific terms and expiration dates
- One promo code per transaction unless stated otherwise
- Cannot be applied to existing subscriptions (new purchases only)
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- We reserve the right to void codes obtained fraudulently
Expiration Notice: Unredeemed gift codes expire 12 months after purchase. We'll send reminder emails before expiration when possible, but it's the recipient's responsibility to redeem before the deadline.
9. Third-Party Links and Advertising
9.1 Links to External Websites
BloomKini may contain links to third-party websites or services:
- Links to purchase full books from retailers (Amazon, bookstores, etc.)
- Author websites and social media profiles
- Publisher websites
- Educational resources and related content
9.2 No Endorsement or Control
Regarding third-party links:
- We don't control or endorse external websites
- We're not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms
- Links are provided for your convenience only
- We don't receive compensation for most links (affiliate links are disclosed)
- You access third-party sites at your own risk
9.3 Advertising (Free Tier)
Free tier users may see advertisements:
- Ads are clearly marked as such
- We use third-party ad networks (Google AdSense, etc.)
- Advertisers may use cookies and tracking (subject to your consent)
- We don't control advertiser content but maintain quality standards
- Report inappropriate ads to support@bloomkini.com
9.4 Affiliate Relationships
Transparency about affiliate links:
- Some book purchase links are affiliate links (we earn a commission)
- This doesn't affect the price you pay

10. Subscription Term and Ending Your Service
10.1 Subscription Periods
Your subscription remains active based on your chosen plan:

10.3 Upgrading Your Plan
You can upgrade from Free to Premium anytime:
- Upgrade takes effect immediately upon payment
- For monthly to annual upgrades, we'll prorate your remaining monthly time
- New billing cycle begins from upgrade date
10.4 Service Interruption by BloomKini
We may suspend or terminate service in certain situations:
- Violation of Terms: If you breach these Terms
- Payment Issues: Repeated failed payments or chargebacks
- Fraudulent Activity: Suspicious or illegal behavior
- Account Sharing: Sharing credentials with unauthorized users
- Service Discontinuation: If we decide to cease operations (with 60 days' notice)
10.5 What Happens After Termination
When your subscription ends (by you or us):
- Premium access ceases immediately or at period end
- Offline downloads become inaccessible
- Reading history and preferences are retained (unless you delete account)
- Outstanding payments remain due
- Certain provisions survive termination (see Section 17.7)
11. Liability and Disclaimers
11.1 Service Provided “As Is”
BloomKini is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis:
- We don't guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service
- We don't warrant that summaries are completely accurate or comprehensive
- We don't guarantee specific results from using our service
- All content is for informational and educational purposes only
11.2 Disclaimers
Educational Content Only: Book summaries are condensed interpretations and should not replace reading original works for critical purposes. Summaries may omit important nuances, context, or details present in full books.
We specifically disclaim:
- Professional Advice: Summaries don't constitute professional medical, legal, financial, or other expert advice
- Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, errors may occur in summaries
- Completeness: Summaries are by nature incomplete versions of original works
- Third-Party Content: We're not responsible for inaccuracies in source materials
11.3 Limitation of Liability

- Trademarks: "BloomKini" name and logo
15.2 Limited License to You
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

- Download content for offline viewing (Premium subscribers only)
- Create personal notes or highlights within the app
15.3 What You Cannot Do
